DDS Blogger Lectures Raissa Robles About the Importance of Martial Law Extension in Mindanao

Controversial journalist and a well-known anti-Duterte personality Raissa Robles made headlines on social media after she posted a tweet criticizing the extension of Martial Law but a Pro-Duterte blogger Mark Lopez lambasted her for her statement.

Raissa Robles tweeted "That's it. Even Senate folded. Martial Law will be extended. God help the Philippines. A cruel Christmas present from the Duterte administration."

Mark Lopez explained that Martial Law is a constitutionally enshrined extra ordinary power vested to the Presidency, as a means to keep and maintain peace and secure the nation.

The Pro-Duterte lectured Raissa Robles about the importance of Martial Law extension in Mindanao and explained that there is the underlying fear of Martial Law, not of the instrument per se, but when it is abused, and becomes a weapon of suppression and atrocity to the very people it is supposed to protect.

Here's the Complete Statement of Mark Lopez:

THE LOWDOWN ON MARTIAL LAW

Martial Law is a constitutionally enshrined extra ordinary power vested to the Presidency, as a means to keep and maintain the peace, and secure the nation.

That is the essence.

Especially in the context of constant threat from armed secessionists, rebels and terrorists within.

There is the underlying fear of Martial Law, not of the instrument per se, but when it is abused, and becomes a weapon of suppression and atrocity to the very people it is supposed to protect.

If you are a law abiding citizen whose only intent is to live in peace and prosperity, there is nothing to fear about Martial Law, given how it is important for us within the current environment where we are surrounded by enemies of the state as mentioned above.

And yes, it is also incumbent upon the current government, especially in its military force, to see to it that ML is imposed when and where it is deemed necessary.

Since May of this year, Mindanao is under Martial Law. And we have seen how it is carried out in the manner by which it is intended.

It is a testament to a strong willed executive and an equally valiant but sensitive military leadership that we have not seen wide scale abuse nor have we been outraged by any cruelty or human rights violations.

And it helps that society is vigilant and engaged. But most of all, it is our cooperative stance and embrace of our desire to move past the dark era of ML that makes its efficacy soothing to our traumatized nerves.

Again, Martial Law is not to be feared in this era of a genuinely caring government and an awakened citizenry.

By all means, let us avail of its awesome power to neuter and neutralize the rebellious, the subversives, the rabble rousers, and all the destabilizers of our nation.

Yes Raissa, the only ones paranoid and fearful now of ML are actually the ones who intend to divide and bring down this country back to regression.

Somehow, it is also quite amusing to read up on idiots like you Raissa who keep on ranting about the dangers of ML and the looming suppression and tyranny yet remain so free and so noisy about it. The irony is so glaring as your legendary bitterness.

We support the need for Martial Law as justified, Raissa.

It is legal. It is necessary.

And it is so damn right!
