La Salle Professor Van Ybiernas also a Pro-Duterte supporter revealed the possible reasons why it is really hard to combat Human Rights Violations when you're alread at the administration. He even cited situations involving Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi and the former Pres. Aquino.



According to Ybiernas it is really hard to combat human rights when you are already at the administration compared to the previous time when you're opposing the government and this what happend to both Suuk Kyi or more popularly known as Aung San Suu Kyi of Myanmar and Pres. Cory Aquino.

The La Salle Professor revealed during during the administration of Pres. Marcos, Cory Aquino keeps on criticizing the government for alleged human rights violations but under her term as President the human rights violations of his admin were also rampant.

Binawi kay Suu Kyi (tatay nya si Aung San, dinagdag lang sa pangalan nya para may name recall siya; reminds you of anybody?) ang isang parangal na binigay sa kanya bilang human rights advocate dahil sa human rights situation ng mga Rohingya sa Myanmar.

Alam nyo, madali maging pro-human rights kapag nasa oposisyon ka ---at matagal nasa oposisyon si Suu Kyi. Pero, ibang usapan kapag ikaw na ang nakaupo, lalo pa kung uunahin mo ang pangangalaga sa seguridad ng bansa.

Si Cory Aquino malakas ding makabatikos ke Apo tungkol sa human rights noong kandidato pa lang siya sa Snap Elections ng 1986. Pero noong umupo na siya, ang taunang statistics ng mga human rights violations ni Santa Cory ay kung hindi mas malaki sa numero ni Apo ay halos pantay lang.
