Seaman Hurt by Militant Groups in the US Embassy Rally After Being Mistaken as a Police Intel (Video)
A Filipino seaman who worked as captain of an international ship was hurt by some alleged members of the militant groups who were conducting a protest rally in front of the US Embassy in TM Kalaw, Ermita, Manila.
According to Capt. Melchor Duran, the seaman who reported the incident at the Manila Police District (MPD) claimed that he was just an ordinary bystander who got curious with the rally of the militants but he was mistakenly identified by the group as an alleged police intel.

The militant groups were composed of the members from various indigenous groups and leftists militants who rushed to him and beaten him causing some bruises in different parts of his body particularly the head of the Filipino Seaman.
Capt. Duran was so thankful despite what has happened to him during the rally that some members of the Police force who were maintaining peace and order in the said area came to rescue and provided some help for him.
The Pinoy seaman who was hurt during the rally at the US Embassy plans to file a case against the militant groups who allegedly hurt him during the incident.
In an interview with GMA News, the man who was seen being pulled aside and beaten by some protesters was quoted as saying:
"Hinila ako papunta sa gilid. Doon dumami yung, bali sumugod sa akin dun," "Tinadyakan ako dito sa taas tapos dito sa gilid ko."
Bayan Secretary General Renato Reyes, one of the organizers of the rally said that they will take the appropriate action once "their internal investigation is finished."
