An official from the Office of the President of the Philippines serving as an Undersecretary (Executive Director) of the said government agency, Joel Maguiza Sy Egco, revealed on his official Facebook Page that the blunder of the Philippine news Agency (PNA), started not only during the Duterte administration but during the term of former Pres. Benigno S. Aquino III.
According to Undersecretary Joel Sy Egco, the erroneous postings of the PNA were habitual, averaging around 25 errors per month from January 2015 to June 2016 alone.
The statement of Egco came out in line with the directive to determine the flaws and vulnerabilities of the old PNA system in an effort to improve its service.
The Malacanang officials asked the general public, what did the past administration do to correct this humiliating "bad habit?" And why should our present leaders be at the receiving end of criticisms for inheriting a problem that was caused by their predecessors' ineptness and neglect?
