One of the country's leading news media outlet, TV-5 was able to interview live Police Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido and asked about his plans for Iloilo City. At the same time also, TV-5 was able to call and interview Mayor Jed Mabilog who expressed his strong faith to the Lord.
According to Mayor Jed Mabilog of Iloilo City, he has a strong faith to the Lord as a Christian but PCI Jovie Espenido cited a Bible verse saying that "Faith without action is dead."

Police Chief Inspector noted during the interview with TV-5 that it's really God's Will, whatever happened to us, but he will surely obey the rules of law and abide with the orders of his superiors.
When Mayor Jed Mabilog was asked about his reactions to the joke of Pres. Duterte if he will stay alive, now that PCI Espenido will be assigned to Iloilo City.
According to Mayor Jed Mabilog he has a strong faith to God, as he cited the Book of 1st Corinthians where the Lord says that "ang ating buhay po ay nakalaan na po, meron na pong plano ang Diyos," the Mayor said.
The Iloilo City Mayor just leave everything to God as he surrenders everything to the Lord and the Lord will do the rest. He also stated that his faith is very strong and he totally surrendered everything to the Lord.
PCI Espenido who is vocal on his religious belief as a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, noted on his part and cited the Book of James wherein the Lord said, "Faith Without Action is Dead."
