Director General Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa, the Philippine National Police Chief revealed during a press conference on Monday that it's possible that the well-known drug buster, Ozamiz City Chief of Police Senior Inspector Jovie Espenido would be transferred in another drug infested province.
Gen. Bato Dela Rosa stated during a press conference in Camp Crame that the PNP are now determining on who will be the next target, however the PNP chief noted that they must validate all the information first before assigning Police Chief Inspector (PCI) Jovie Espenido.

The PNP Chief was quoted as saying "Mag-determine muna tayo kung sino’ng next na target, doon natin siya ilipat. Hintay muna tayo. I-validate muna natin kung saan siya puwedeng ilipat,” he said.
Gen. Dela Rosa also noted PCI Jovie Espenido must finish his assignment in Ozamiz before leaving the city. The Ozamiz City Police Chief also served as Albuera, Leyte's Police Chief before he was transferred to Mindanao.
During the said press conference, the PNP Chief also revealed that many Local Government Units (LGUs) wanted PCI Espenido to be assigned in their respective provinces to solve their illegal drug problem.
Aside from the possible new assignment of Chief Inspector Espenido, Gen. Dela Rosa also revealed that Espenido would receive “special award for anti-illegal drugs campaign” after he led the biggest and most successful anti-drug raid in history of Ozamiz City which resulted to the death of Mayor Aldong Parojinog Sr., Board Member Octavio Parojinog and 13 others.
