The tough-talking President of the Republic of the Philippines summoned Philippine Mayors to visit Malacañang Palace for a field trip and to personally witness the list of narco-politicians included in the verified documents of the President before he will announced it on national TV.
Some Facebook Pages supporting the President shared a photo of a bus full of Mayors that scheduled to visit Malacañang Palace.to meet Pres. Duterte after the chief executive ordered to summon all the Mayors in the Philippines to personally meet them.
Pres. Duterte wanted to show the thick drug list where more than 2,000 public officials was listed and even threatened to do something bad against those who were involved or he would force the Mayors to resign and remove all their powers to control the local police in their respective areas of responsibility.
In an earlier interview with GMA News wherein he kicked the thick drugs list President Duterte noted that he didn't realized the severity of the drug problems in the country and underestimated the drug problems in the Philippines.
During the meeting between Pres. Rody Duterte and some Mayors from Luzon, one of them revealed the President warned all of them especially those who are involved in the illegal drug trades to immediately resign or vacate their office.
Another Mayor from Nueva Vizcaya favored the President's decision for inviting them to Malacañang Palace as it became an opportunity for him to seek help from the President and personally thanked the chief executive for his effort to combat the rampant drug problems in the country.
Meanwhile, Vice President Leni Robredo on his part released a statement to the media that she hopes the warning of Pres. Duterte against the alleged mayors involved in drugs were just part of his usual exaggerated statements and not to really kill those Mayors who were involved in drugs.
