The San Antonio Spurs defeated the depending champion Miami Heat at the American Airlines Arena, the home court of the Heat with the final score at 92-88.
Spurs Tony Parker led all scorers and his heroic shots in the final quarter of the match was crucial enough for the Spurs victory in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Parker scored with 21 points while All-Star team mate Tim Duncan added with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
The Miami Heat was led by LeBron Jame who scored a triple-double with 18 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists. His fellow big three member on the other hand struggled in scoring. Wade contributed with 17 points while Chris Bosh contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds.
