Pres. Duterte Gives Aid to Super Typhoon Nina Victims in the Bicol Region

Some critics of Pres. Rody Duterte keeps posting on social media that the Philippine President is nowhere to be found in Malacanang to lead the national government's relief efforts for the victims of super typhoon Nina that hits the Bicol Region and Southern Tagalog Region.

Unknown to many, Pres. Duterte did his best to monitor the situation on the ground but were never reported by the national media unlike the numerous press conference of VP Robredo's office that she was closely monitoring the relief efforts while on vacation in the United States.

The facts that were not reported by the mainstream media is clearly visible on social media, the department heads of the various government agencies were working closely to help the relief efforts even without the media coverage.

Pres. Duterte personally gives aid to the victims of super typhoon Nina as he flew to the Bicol Region on Tuesday, December 27. From Davao City the President arrived in the provinces of Catanduanes and Camarines Sur in record time as he was even ahead of his counterpart who lives in Naga City but now enjoying her White Christmas celebration in New York.

Vice President draws flak from netizens because she was in the US while her bailiwick in Bicol was battered by the super typhoon. Her gestures of prioritizing her vacation compared to her constituents is a sign according to some netizens that she is not really serious on her government works as VP.

Just recently an old video showing VP Robredo saying a strong statement how important is it for government officials to be with his/her constituents during disaster is indeed a PR disaster for the VP camp as noted by a concerned netizen.
