Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte led with a slight margin against former Senator Bongbong Marcos in the latest Presidential and Vice Presidential survey list by an independent firm as revealed by Chief Presidential Legal Counel Secretary Salvador Panelo.

The results of the independent and non-commissioned survey was released to the media on Christmas Eve that tickled political pundits and interest groups.

Based on the survey results according to Panelo's announcement, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte leads the Presidential race with slight edge over Sen. Bongbong Marcos. Duterte received 14.6 percent support. She is trailed closely by former Sen. Bongbong Marcos who had 14.5 percent.

Placing third in the non-commissioned survey was Manila Mayor Isko Moreno with 12.7 percent, while controversial opposition leader, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo placed fourt with 10 percent.

Occupying the second tier in the latest survey results for national position, were Senators Manny Pacquiao with 10 percent and below followed by Sen. Grace Poe, Sen. Tito Sotto. The survey firm also noted that there is no clear frontrunner in the said survey because it is a hotly contested  race.

For the Vice Presidential survey, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte would get 17 percent of the votes if the elections are held this time for the Vice President.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno ranked second in the Vice Presidential survey with 16 percent. Trailing them are Senators Poe, Pacquiao, Bong Go and Sotto with support averaging 10 percent.

As far as we can remember, it was Secretary Panelo who floated the possibility of the Davao City Mayor possibly teaming up with her father, Pres. Duterte, for her vice-presidential tandem.

Although Malacanang denied this claim while Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is still mum on her future political plans.
