Controversial TV Host and veteran journalist Karen Davila made headlines anew on social media after she made a statement on Twitter defending an alleged activist who was detained for illegal positions of firearms and explosives.
Karen Davila took to social media as she tweeted "Hindi po siya convicted criminal. Hindi po siya drug trafficker. Aktibista lang po siya. Bakit ganito kalupit... sa kapwa Pilipino pa?! Absolutely heartbreaking."
The veteran TV Host shared her thoughts on social media as she shared the news article from ABS-CBN bout Reina Mae Nasino who was still in handcuffs as she weeps in front of baby River.
Karen Davila's statement regarding Nasino who was arrested earlier due to illegal possession of firearms caught the attentions of netizens particularly the supporters of the President who burned down the TV hosts on social media.
Concerned netizen Benedicto Gabilan called out Karen Davila by saying that she should stop her hyprocisy and questioned the journalist whether she weep and protest when a child was killed during ambush by the NPA.
Gabilan explained further that if the the mother really cared for her baby, she should have left the armed group long ago and spend her precious time with the baby.
