Veteran radio host and prominent blogger Mark Lopez reveals the main reasons why the Bureau of Corrections will be in trouble after the controversial death of gang leader Jaypee Sebastian inside the national penitentiary.
According to Mark Lopez there is a huge issue and problems will surely arise inside the Bureau of Corrections after the supposed death of Bilibid Gang leader Jaybee Niño Sebastian, who was once featured in an international TV program.
The death of Sebastian was allegedly kept secrets by the BuCor during the past few days but nobody will be kept secret forever. The veteran radio host stated that the BuCor should be the one to initiate for a press conference on the said condition of Sebastian.
The Data Privacy Act could not be invoke in the issue regarding Jaybee Sebastian because he is a well-known public figure and there is a national interest involving the estate, because of the fact that he is a key witness in the controversial Leila de Lima case.
The DOJ officially confirmed on Monday, July 20, 2020 that high-profile New Bilibid Prison (NBP) inmate Jaybee Sebastian and eight illegal dr*** convicts have died from the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra made the confirmation together with BuCor Director General Gerald Bantag.
