Netizens Reacts on Controversial PhilStar Article Against Mocha Uson

One of the country's leading news media organization, the Philippine Star posted a controversial article against Mocha Uson but later or deleted the post on social media. Netizens reacted with the said article implicating Mocha Uson.

According to the official Mocha Uson Blog which has more than 5.7 million followers on Facebook confirmed the post made by the official website of the Philippine Star (PhilStar).

The screen captured post of the Philippine Star says that "The NBI Cybercrime Division has concluded its probe on Bayanihan Act violation vs netizens for spreading fake news during the COVID-19 pandemic. Division Chief Vic Lorenzo confirms one of those found liable is OWWA deputy admin Mocha Uson."

Mocha Uson Blog's admin Banat By posted the screen captured image of the PhilStar post. Netizens then took to social media and expressed their dismay over the alleged biased reporting of the Philippine Star.

Banat By also noted that maybe the news network wanted to follow the paths of Rappler wherein one of their top writer and their CEO was convicted of cyber libel crimes for an alleged malicious post against a businessman from Southern Philippines.

Netizens reacted with the controversial post of the Philippine Star implicating Mocha Uson for an alleged crime against the Filipino people.

According to Facebook user Toks Toks Santi, media is indeed the msot powerful weapon, if you castigate them they will shout press freedom, so how will you be liable if they are found to be spreading lies of valid information.
