Jay Sonza Educates the Public About the Real Issue on Closing Down ABS-CBN. (Blame No One But ABS-CBN)

Veteran broadcaster and political analyst Jay Sonza educates the general public regarding the real issue on closing down the Lopez Family owned network, and there's no one to blame but the company itself.

According to Jay Sonza, ABS-CBN first sought Congress for an extension of their franchise for another 25 years in the year 2014. The company had all the chances but they failed and the answer is simple.

The veteran journalist said, ABS-CBN allegedly wanted to legitimized their violations of their franchise by inserting new provisions in the existing one. This was strongly opposed by a cable franchise holders' organization whose business was affected by the incursion of ABS-CBN.

Some veteran lawmakers also found out this issue, on top of this, the owners and management of the network, refused to submit certain documents required by Congress.

Eventually, ABS-CBN withdrew their application for extension. Last 2016, there's an administration change and a new Congress, the network asked for franchise renewal using the same 2014 questionable and withdrawn request for exension. As expecte, the 2014 oppositors strongly manifested their objections and some veteran solon observed the same loopholes.

The franchise renewal got complicated when cases filed by dismissed employees came out, the quo warranto petition and the Corona virus pandemic. In other words, ABS-CBN should not blame Congress, not NTC, not the President and not the Solicitor General. Blame it on ABS-CBN.

Read the Complete Lectures of Jay Sonza:

The Lopez Family owned network first sought Congress for an extension of their franchise for another 25 years in 2014.

They had all the chances, but... Bakit hindi na-renew or na-extend ang prangkisa ng ABS CBN?

The answer is simple. They wanted to legitimized their violations of their franchise by inserting new provisions in the existing one.

This was strongly opposed by a cable franchise holders' organization whose business was affected by the incursion of abs cbn. Nasilip din ito ng mga batikang mambabatas.

On top of this, the owners and management of the network, refused to submit certain documents required by Congress.

Eventually, ABS CBN withdrew their application for extension.

Humiling ng renewal of franchise ang Network by RE-FILING the same 2014 questionable and withdrawn request for extension.

As expected, the previous (2014) oppositors strongly manifested their objections to the application for extension. Some veteran solon observed the same loopholes.

Muli, hiningi ng Kongreso ang mga dokumento at datus sa ABS CBN. At the same time, the network failed to debunk the accusations of the oppositors.

Blame not Congress. Not NTC. Not the president. Not OSG.

Blame ABS CBN dahil gustong makaisa, dahil ayaw sumunod sa alituntunin, dahil ayaw sumagot sa paratang, dahil mayabang at sumobra ang kampante.
