Kobe Bryant Dies in a Helicopter Crash in California with 2nd Eldest Daughter

A sad news for the basketball world after various news agency confirmed that basketball legend Kobe Bryant died a in helicopter crash on Sunday (US Time) in Calabasas, California.


The 41-year-old Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash with his second eldest daughter Gianna "Gigi" Bryant. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department at least five people died in the helicopter crash.



"It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of Kobe Bryant and four others in a helicopter crash in Calabasas," Calabasas Mayor Alicia Weintraub said in a press conference.

The authorities also revealed that Kobe Bryant's helicopter was a Sikorsky S-76B model but it is still unknown of what really happened to the chopper.

Kobe Bryant spent his his 20-season career entirely with the Los Angeles Lakers. He was the third all-time scorer in the NBA and won five NBA championships.

He was born August 23, 1978, in Philadelphia but for most of his childhood lived in Italy, where his father played basketball. In 1996 Bryant joined the NBA after graduating from high school.



Bryant retired from the NBA in 2016 after becoming one of the greatest basketball icon in history.

Kobe Bryant was married to Vanessa Bryant with whom he had four children: Bianka, Gianna, Natalia, and Capri, their youngest child, who was born in June.
