Jimmy Bondoc Refutes ABS-CBN's Arguments that Closure Will Result to Loss of Thousand of Jobs

Veteran singer-songwriter Jimmy Bondoc refutes with the arguments stated by some supporters of ABS-CBN that closing down the network will result to loss of thousands of jobs.

The PAGCOR executive explained that "the point is - this is not a foregone conclusion. Pag nagsara, hindi agad ibig sabihin na mawawalan lahat ng trabaho. Many companies have been shut down by many governments in history, some of which were taken over by their governments, admittedly with varying results."

Jimmy Bondoc clarified that "pag hindi ma-renew ang franchise, pwede pa rin magka 'abs-cbn' under a new name and management. He also doubts about the concerned of ABS-CBN towards their employees.

If ABS-CBN is plucking at the heart strings of the public highlighting the loss of jobs of thousands, why they have not shown compassion or at least, compliance with court orders or employees' appeals with regard to regularization of employees, or reinstatement of illegally dismissed employees?

Read the Complete Statement of Jimmy Bondoc:

ABS-CBN is again making the argument that their closure will result to loss of thousands of jobs. In logic, I think they call that "Begging The Claim." Just look it up and correct me if I'm wrong.

The point is- this is not a foregone conclusion. Many companies have been shut down by many governments in history, some of which were taken over by their governments, admittedly with varying results.

To be clear- pag hindi ma-renew ang franchise, pwede pa rin magka "abs cbn" under a new name and management, retaining employees and infra.

IS ABS CONCERNED OVER EMPLOYEES

As a COMPANY HA! Not as individuals sa loob ng ABS. We are talking about the ABS as an entity, at ang mga policy nito.

I am not here to insult, as most of you know. Usapang matino lang. TOTOO ba ang concern ng ABS?

Jurisprudence shows otherwise. Labor cases abound based on ABS's unfair labor practices, termination disputes, and many more. In fact, decided cases have been final and executory for long, yet ABS has obstinately refused to comply with court orders.

In some cases, they complied with DOLE orders by reinstating employees, but committed acts amounting to constructive dismissal naman.

Again, I am not making this up. These are all published cases. I have no reason to fabricate.

Research din for yourself. Don't take my word for it. One of the cases I remember is the Wheng Hidalgo case.

So ulitin lang natin. If ABS is plucking at the heart strings of the public by highlighting the loss of jobs of thousands, why have they not shown compassion or at least, compliance with court orders or employees' appeals with regard to regularization of employees, or reinstatement of illegally dismissed employees?

Pero wag naman tayo magpaloko sa mga emotional appeal of a company who supposedly pities their employees and blames this government for the loss of many jobs, but have been shown to disregard the rights of the very employees they claim to be protecting. In facebook parlance, they call that Charot.
---
ABS should just fix itself. They have the money to do it. The good reporters, the employees who stand to lose jobs, and everyone else should QUIBOLOY their masters. Just tell your masters to STOP!

STOP fake and irresponsible news!
STOP labor violations!
STOP using media to gain undue advantage!
STOP trying to own the gifts of God,like the rain.

You keep blaming PDuterte.
Mas nakakatawa, you are actually demonizing super smalltime people like me. For expressing an opinion.

Look at your MASTERS!
You are victims of their greed, yet they are still able to manipulate you into thinking it is someone else's fault.

Wake up and smell the Kikiam.

  1. Thats the truth though it hurts but the truth shall set you free. Know the real truth about why this problem cropped up. Stop the "paawa effect". If not of Duterte, the people would not know their huge obligations to the government, which should have been used for more fruitful needs of most of our kababayans, not with a few greedy ones. So PAY your DUES.
