Ex-Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile Claims Mind Disturbed Amid Reports of Pres. Trump Banning PH Officials

Former Senator and veteran lawmaker Juan Ponce Enrile claimed on his latest social media post that his "mind is disturbed" amid news report that Pres. Trump approves ban of Philippine officials in the US involved in the controversial De Lima case.

Despite losing his senatorial bid, former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, he wisely chooses the burning issues to comment on, so after news report saying that US President Trump just banned the entry of Philippine government officials who played a role in the incarceration of Sen. Leila De Lima, the veteran politician Enrile voiced his opinion regarding the issue.

In the official Facebook account of Sen. Enrie, he remarked that his mind is disturbed on how the Philippines is being treated by some politicians in the US and by the UN via the ICC because both are unashamedly interferring in a purely internal political affairs in the country.

Sen. Enrile reminded everybody that under the principles of International Law developed from the Peace of Westphalia as a result of the Thirty Years War in 1648, the Philippinnes is supposed to enjoy total sovereign statehood over its domain its own domain, guarding its own national interest, maintaining its own territorial integrity, and freed from all interference from externall powers in maintaining its domestic order.

Read the Complete Statement of Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile:

My mind is disturbed by the way our country is being treated by some politicians in the United States and by the UN via its International Criminal court. Both unabashedly interfere in our purely internal political affairs.

Each intrudes directly into our sovereignty as a free and independent state, as if we are nothing more than just a vassal of the United States and the UN.

Under the principles of International Law developed from the Peace of Westphalia after the end of the Thirty Years War in 1648, the Philippines is supposed to enjoy total sovereign statehood over its own domain, guarding its own national interest, maintaining it own territorial integrity, and freed from all interference from external powers in maintaining its domestic order.

On what basis have we lost our rights as a free state equal to all other states under the so-called Treaty of Westphalia? I am just asking!
