Dan Jimenez Questions the Silence of the Opposition & Leftist Groups for the Onerous Water Contracts

Veteran political analyst and prominent social media personality Dan Jimenez questioned the opposition and the leftist groups alleged silence for the onerous contracts between the Philippine government and the two water monopolies, Manila Water and Maynilad.

In a lengthy post by Dan Jimenez titled "When Silence is Not Golden, the political analyst and blogger posed some questions on the silence of the opposition, the critics of Pres. Duterte and the leftist organizations on the issue involving the alleged manipulations of some water companies resulting into losses in the part of the government.

Pres. Duterte attacked billionaires Ayala and Pangilinan for taking undue advantage of the Filipino consumers and threatened "economic sabotage" lawsuit.

The warning of the Philippine came out, after the water distribution monopolies won an arbitration case in a Singaporean court wherein the Philippine government is being asked to pay Ayala and Pangilinan P11 billion pesos for loses incurred as stipulated by the onerous contract.

Dan Jimenez called out VP Leni Robredo, the yellow politicans, the EDSA heroes who claimed that they restored the country's democracy, Trillanes and Magdalo, the leftist groups, the Makabayan bloc, the holy men of cloth like Father Reyes, and the Human Rights proponents. This is indeed their time to shine defending the rights of the oppressed.

When Silence is not Golden

The onerous contracts between the Philippine government and the two water monopolies, Manila Water Co. and Maynilad Water Services Inc. have exposed those who really are pro-Filipino people and those who are not.

PRRD, in a four-lettered-word filled diatribe, attacked billionaires Ayala and Pangilinan for taking undue advantage of the Filipino consumers and threatened an "economic sabotage" lawsuit. This, after the monopolies won an arbitration case in a Singaporean court wherein the Philippine government is being asked to pay Ayala and Pangilinan 11 billion pesos for loses incurred as stipulated by the onerous contract.

Duterte went into a rage and a day after, representatives of the two monopolies sued for peace and said things can be worked out.

As the expose' of the despicable fleecing of the Filipinos continues with the people's disgust overpowering whatever rationalization there is, an inexplicable silence from the usual chest beating, full of fire and brimstone, nationalistic and "liberty or death" patriots envelops the land.

Where is Leni Robredo whose bravado was without equal when she was fired last week as co-chair of ICAD? Where is her condemnation of the evil perpetrated on the people she swears she loves?

Where are the yellow politicians, the EDSA heroes who claimed that they restored the country's democracy? Where is their wrathful indignation?

Where are Trillanes and the Magdalo idealists whose credo is "para sa Bansa"? Can they feel the people's brewing anger and utter frustration?

Where are the clenched fists of the left? The down with "fascism-imperialism-dictatorship" rabble-rousers? Have they lost their megaphones? Their effigies no longer burn? Their revolutionary paint all dried up?

What about the Makabayan bloc in Congress who espouses fighting for people's rights to the point of armed rebellion? Did bundles of money shoved down their throats prevent any word of protest?

How about the Oh, so holy men of the cloth who shepherd the souls of men but will not hesitate to tinker with politics so long as they are showered with gifts? Where is their appeal to the oligarchs to be more kind and to share the land's riches with the exploited and the very poor?

Where are the bleeding hearts, the decent crowd, the Human Rights proponents? Those who will cry at the drop of a hat because of injustice and the taking advantage of the weak, the lowly citizens and the most vulnerable?

Yes, not a squeak.

In an instant, Duterte has unmasked the pretenders. Caught with their pants down, their real intentions and true alliance are never clearer. It is a must that the people remember who are on their side when push came to shove. Who are their protectors. Who will die for them.

Silence when voices must resonate with equality, justice and patrimony for all must be despised. Must be condemned.

DAMN!
