Atty. Estrada, the Lawyer Who Helped Teacher Melita from Tulfo Humiliation by Contacting DepEd

Raffy Tulfo received some negative comments and reactions on social media after the controversial issue involving Teacher Melita but one of the silent mover for change was credited for helping the poor teacher from public humiliation by contacting the Department of Education (DepEd).

In the official Facebook Page of Atty. Joseph Noel Estrada he aired his support with Teacher Melita who was bashed earlier for allegedly abusing her student but later on found out that the mistakes was committed not by the teacher by the grandparents who reported the incident to Raffy Tulfo.

According to Atty. Estrada he is with teacher Limjuco to address the complaint in a right forum and not through social and mainstream media.

The veteran lawyer pointed out that the teacher deserves the right to be heard for what happened. He also noted that the OFW children of Teacher Melita were greatly affected with the bashing they received from netizens who only saw one part of the story in the popular Raffy Tulfo in Action TV Show.

Read the Complete Statement of Atty. Estrada:

It’s unfair to her. This is violative of her right to due process.

The public school teacher deserves the right to be heard.

29 years as a public school teacher, she does not deserve this public humiliation and ridicule or lose her job and license to teach.

Tandaan po natin, our teachers are special parents of the students while they are in their supervision, instruction, or custody. As special parent, the teacher’s authority includes the duty discipline the students.

I do not see any abuse done by the teacher. The disciplinary action imposed by the teacher is the necessary consequence of the child’s misconduct.

Paalala din po sa mga magulang. Our duties as parents include, coordinating and cooperating with the school in implementing school discipline.

I also encourage everyone to make sure the personal details and photos or videos of minors involved are not shared or divulged.

Salamat po.

Atty. Estrada also made a follow up with the statement he posted earlier and confirmed that the teacher and the student's family has patched things up with the help of DepEd supervisor, however he added that they lack something.

I was assured by the Supervisor theyr handling it well and I trusted them.

Haaay salamat sa Diyos.

Pero parang may kulang."

The controversy of Teacher Melita started when the grandmaother of one of her student sought Raffy Tulfo's help to file a case against Limjuco because the boy claimed that he was traumatized and humiliated because o how the teacher disciplined him.

The teacher admitted on air with her mistake in disciplining the child, however the family of the child still wanted her to be punished and her license be revoke. Raffy Tulfo then asked her between facing charges including child abuse or resign from her job as a teacher for more than 3 decades.
