Agriculture Secretary Manny reported on his latest social media post while joining the President in an official visit to Japan that the veteran action star Robin Padilla decided to help the Agriculture Department as he plans to host a show to promote Agriculture and Fisheries to young farmers in the Philippines.


According to Secretary Pinol, action-star Robin Padilla would like to play new roles - that of a farmer and a TV agri show presentor. Robin Padilla revealed that he would like to start a model farm which could also serve as a rehab area for drug dependents.



In a breakfast meeting with the Agriculture Secretary in Japan, Robin Padilla was quoted as saying ""Gustong-gusto ko talaga maging farmer. At gusto maging model farm na puedeng maging rehab area ng mga drug dependents," he told Pinol over breakfast.

The Agriculture Chief stated that Robin Padilla wanted to change the young farmers perception about Agriculture to generate interests among the youths to venture into farming.

Director Njel de Mesa has volunteered to direct the upcoming Agriculture show to be hosted by Robin Padilla.

Tokyo, Japan - Actor Robin Padilla, easily one of the most popular movie personalities in the Philippines today, would like to play new roles - that of a farmer and a TV agri show presentor.

Over breakfast today, Robin, a staunch supporter of President Rody Duterte, said he would like to start a model farm which could also serve as a rehab area for drug dependents.



"Gustong-gusto ko talaga maging farmer. At gusto maging model farm na puedeng maging rehab area ng mga drug dependents," he told me over breakfast today.

He also volunteered to host a show which would promote Agriculture and Fisheries to young farmers.

"Baguhin natin ang imahe ng magsasaka para magka interes ang mga bata," he said.

Director Njel de Mesa has volunteered to direct the show.
