Veteran lawyer and radio host who made a name for himself as an avid supporter and defender of former Mayor Rody Duterte, Atty. Bruce V. Rivera slammed celebrity Kris Aquino over her latest appearance on national print and TV media regarding her love life issue.
According to Atty. Rivera it pisses him off that everyone else has to treat Kris Aquino like she is a national treasure and she is immune from being making fun of when in her stage, and no one was exempt from her nastiness.
The veteran lawyer stated that "When SAP Christopher Bong Go apologized in behalf of PRD about the Ninoy video used by Mocha and others, I was with Go on that and I apologized myself. It merited it because it pained her as a child of Ninoy and Cory." Rivera said.
However, Atty. Rivera also explained that "in this instance, I submit SAP Bong and Sara Zimmerman Duterte made the apology because, (and this is just me and not in any way their opinion) they just do not have the time to engage Aquino in one of her pa-victim for attention modus. Kung mas sikat ka sa kanya, lugi ka kung papatulan mo siya. She will milk it for publicity and what will SAP Bong get? Nothing. A positive or negative comment from Kris about Go will always be negative for Go." Atty. Rivera stated.

But Go should only apologize to himself because he forgot the unwritten rule media followed for a long time: Aquino is holier than the rest of us. This is what makes me want to bang my head in the wall, the level of self-entitlement. We have seen Miss Aquino on television ever since my family can afford to buy a television set. The Filipino people was there in every heartbreak where she admitted being played on by the men in her life, the endless apologies for wrong choices, the unlimited drama and media was her stage. We allowed it.
And she had her fair share of punchlines at the expense of other people who had the misfortune of being in her line of fire. She would ridicule people for fashion choices, wrong grammar and even genetic predisposition.
I have a confession. She was the reason why I had to speak out against using the Valkyrie issue as a rallying cry for LGBT rights because when she and Boy Abunda interviewed Floresca in Aquino and Abunda, Boy asked Floresca how she felt when she was not allowed to enter the bar and the latter replied, "I did not feel human!"
Aquino's reaction: she smirked and suddenly stopped. It was a carefully orchestrated move for its dramatic effect. That is, it was funny but she had to stop laughing because it was rude. Yet, she had to show it.
In many instances, she would always take opportunity to point out grammatical errors of the guest answers even if it was clearly unintentional or due to nerves. I have been at the receiving end of that. But it was all in the spirit of fun and it added to the realness of the situation.

Second, if you do not want your life to be made fun of, then quit broadcasting every woe and whimper in your life justifying like it was oxygen to the hapless Filipino mass. Hindi po mamamatay sa gutom ang mga taga-Tondo kung di nila malalaman ang sakit mo o kung anong nagpapawala ng amoy ng daing sa loob ng kotse mo. Kasi, for most of the Filipinos, wish nga lang nila may daing sila, yung kotse pa kaya. You cannot be the joke or a punchline if you do not continually remind us that you exist every chance you get. If you always cry victim every chance you get, it becomes inevitable. Pasalamat ka nga, yan lang ang narinig mo na joke. If you heard those told in private, trust me...its worse.
