One of the country's most prominent and influential blogger with more than a million followers under his belt Thinking Pinoy made an interesting revelations on social media as he revealed that DFA Secretary Teddyboy Locsin is now in hot water after the reported NYC junket, based upon the information shared by one of TP's source inside Malacanang.
According to the information relayed to Thinking Pinoy, Pres. Duterte and Executive Secretary Medialdea were reportedly surprised after finding out that Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin was in New York City, said a confidential palace source.
The visit of Sec. Locsin to New York came out after he verbally asked permission from Pres. Duterte to visit Brussels and Bangkok but made no mention of going to New York.
The source revealed further that ""Mayroon siyang pinasang written request na Travel Authority pero kung good faith ka, dapat nung nagpaalam ka orally, dapat sinabi mong mag-New New York siya."
Sec. Locsin recently flew to New York to attend a UN Security Council Debate on Climate Change, which could be delegated to a New York-based Filipino diplomat. Prior to that, he also flew to Thailand and Belgium to attend various meetings.
The source said Locsin is in hot water after his uninformed opinions over the passport issue, followed by his erroneously blaming the Philippine labor attache to the United States for the US visa issue.
There are some reports also that Sec. Locsin will be replaced by veteran politician and former Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as the Secretary of Foreign Affairs once her term as Speaker of the House of Representatives ends this coming June 2019.

Locsin recently flew to New York to attend a UN Security Council debate on climate change, a non-essential trip as the country can just have a New York-based Filipino diplomat attend the event to cut down on costs. Immediately prior, he also flew to Thailand and Belgium to attend various meetings.
"Tapos, pinatawagan siya ni PRRD kasi gusto pumunta ng Libya. Sabi raw ni PRRD, wag siya tumuloy at wala naman siyang silbi ron," the source said.
The source added, "Kung patawagan ka na not to go, topic ka na."
"Gusto ba naman na pumunta kasama si Dulay," the source said.
The source was referring to OWWA deputy director Dodo Dulay who has reportedly been acting as Locsin's de facto "little Secretary" in the DFA since November last year.
"Pero ang higpit-higpit niyan sa Travel Authority ng mga officials ng DFA pero puro junket naman," the source said.
The president has earlier fired several top administration officials for excessive traveling.

The source said Locsin is in hot water after his uninformed opinions over the passport issue, followed by his erroneously blaming the Philippine labor attache to the United States for the US visa issue.
The United States earlier this month announced that it will not be issuing nonimmigrant H2A and H2B visas to Filipinos because of rampant overstaying of Filipinos under the said visa categories.
Reacting to the announcement, Locsin blamed the Labor Attache for it.
The source said, "H2A and H2B visas are separate and distinct visa categories from the J1 visa which is issued for education and cultural exchange program participants. The latter visa category, especially those issued to teachers, summer work and training, and interns, is being abused and misused and had resulted in exploitation and abuse of Filipinos."
"Feeling ko, mainit sa kanya kasi inaway niya yung labor attache for the wrong reasons and dati pa iyong konsehal sa Davao," the source said.
"Ni hindi niya alam difference ng mga visa," the source said, referring to Locsin.
The source added, "Si Labor Sec. Bello kasi, nireport sa cabinet meeting iyang J1 visa issue. Feeling niya nasapawan siya. So nung nagban ng deployment yung US, sinisi niya sa labor attache."
Locsin even went as far as telling other officials to stop defending the labor attache, to the annoyance of palace officials who are aware that the attache had nothing to do with the visa ban, the source said.
