Korean Firm BizLink Commits to Invest $1 Billion at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB)


One of the Republic of Korea's most prominent technology company BizLink has committed to invest $1 Billion at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) located in Mariveles, Bulacan. The investment of the Korean firm is the results of the President's efforts during his visit to the progressive Asian country.



The billion dollar investment of the Korean firm with subsidiaries in various parts of the world was announced and confirmed to the media by FAB Chairman Emmanuel Pineda during the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) on Wednesday between FAB and The BizLink, Phils., Inc., represented by its President Virgilio Pagulayan.



In an announcement with the media, FAB Chairman Pineda was quoted as saying "It is the 137th company in the Bataan freeport. Definitely, it is among if not one of the biggest investors in FAB,” Pineda said. “It will invest USD1 billion or around PHP54 billion.” Pineda added.

The Philippine subsidiary of the South Korean firm is seen to generate 10,000 jobs upon full completion of its projects in three sites located inside FAB.

The company will build a multi-storey Information Technology building which will house an IT school that intends to have 1,000 graduates every year. It will also develop a 26-hectare property for a mixed-use complex. BizLink Philippines President Virgilio Pagulayan also staed that "I will see to it that with the help of the people around me, we will deliver what is expected of us," Pagulayan said.



The BizLink of South Korea specialized in various Technologies and Production in the sectors of Energy Saving Solution, Renewable Energy Business, Innovative Technology, Environment Pollution Prevention Solution and Plant Build-up. BizLink has interests also in the Real Estate Consulting and Development sectors such as Real Estate Development and Funding as well as Construction Projects.

The Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) has 41,000 workers presently in a total of 136 multi-national companies.
