President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will brought home not only investments but also military equipment on his state visit to Jordan after the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has agreed to provided the Philippines with two Cobra attack helicopters after the training of Filipino pilots.
Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Bong Go confirmed the news of Jordan's donation to the Philippines through a text message sent to the Philippine media delegation in Amman, Jordan.

The closest-ally of Pres. Duterte, SAP Bong Go said that the second-hand attack helicopters which was primarily used by the Royal Jordanian Air Force during combat operations in Iraq and Syria.
SAP Bong Go also said that the Jordanian government will also donate to the Philippines mortars, rifles, rocket-propelled grenades as part of the friendly relationship between Jordan and the Philippines.
The confirmation about the donation came after the Philippines and Jordan signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Defense Cooperation between the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and the Department of National Defense of the Philippines.
According to Secretary Esperon of the Department of National Defense, each Bell AH-1 Cobra Attack Helicopter costs around US$18 million. He earlier said that aside from the choppers, Jordan will donate sniper rifles and armored tankers which could be used to boost the Philippines’ defense capabilities.
The Bell AH-1 Cobra Attack Helicopter is a two-blade, single-engine attack helicopter manufactured by Bell helicopter and is also referred to as the HueyCobra or Snake. The Cobra Attack Helicopter was the backbone of the United States Army's attack helicopter fleet but has been replaced by the AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter in US Army Service, but the Cobra Attack Helicopter remains in service with United States Marine Corps (USMC) as the service's primary attach helicopter.
The Cobra Attack Helicopter is considered as the primary attack helicopters of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, Republic of Korea Army, Israeli Air Force and the Royal Jordanian Air Force.
