Expose: Aquino Granted Amnesty on October 2010 But Trillanes Filed Amnesty in January 2011 (Advance Mag-isip)
A concerned netizen exposed some discrepancies in the issuance of amnesty by former Pres. Noynoy Aquino to Senato Antonio Trillanes. According to Kitty Marsie, Noynoy Aquino approved the Amnesty in October 2010 but Trillanes filed the amnesty in January 2011.
The Facebook Page Kitty Marsie asked the camp of Sen. Trillanes to explained the incident on why the granting of amnesty came in advance with the alleged application of Trillanes for amnesty in 2011.
Some sources and hard evidences through various news report by ABS-CBN, Philippine Star and GMA Network were presented by some netizens on social media.
In a news report posted by ABS-CBN, they reported on October 12, 2010 that Pres Aquino has signed a proclamation granting amnesty to Sen. Trillanes and other soldiers involved in the Oakwood Mutiny in July 2003, the Marine standoff last February 2006 and the Manila Peninsula siege in November 2007.
Meanwhile, in a news report posted by GMA News on January 5, 2011, Sen. Antonio Trillanes avails of amnesty and admits "breaking rules." Trillane said during the 2011 interview that they filled out an application form and signed the sections that state were agreeing to the "general admission of guilt" that they violated military rules and the Revised Penal Code.
Trillanes said while they admitted to "violating some rules," they were not admitting guilt to the mutiny and coup d'etat charges lodged against them both in the civil and military courts.
"I would like to qualify that we did not admit to the charge of 'coup d'etat' or anything na finile sa amin because we believe hindi iyon ang nararapat na charge na ginawa sa amin," he said.
