Although the major news media outlets and their news media team were present during the Senate Hearing but nobody from them broadcast the live video coverage except for the government-owned PTV-4 news outlet of the government.

Based upon the letter sent to Atty. Glenn Chong as an invitation for him to be a resource speaker, the Philippine Senate eneumerated some of the topics that they are going to discuss in the August 6, 2018 Joint Congressional Oversight Committee on the Automated Election System (JCOC-AES).

Atty. Glenn Chong was requested by the Senate to take part in the following matters:

1. Status of compliance of the submissions required by the JCOC-AES during the public hearing last February 1, 2018;
2. The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Advisory Council Recap of the Issues and Concerns on the Automated Election System during the 2016 National and Local Elections and its Recommendations for the 2018 National and Local Elections;
3. Economics and Financial Analyses of the COMELEC's Purchase of the Vote Counting Machines;
4. Status of the Preparations for the Automated Election System to be used in the 2019 National and Local Elections; and
