The tough-talking President of the Republic of the Philippines personally visited and comforted the people of Jolo, Sulu who were fire victims despite the fact that there's always security threats in the province, considering the reasons that Sulu became the hotbed of Abu Sayyaf Group.

Despite the security challenges of the President and his staff, he still find ways to visit the fire victims in Jolo, Sulu as Pres. Duterte also promised on Friday that the residents of Jolo will be given a fire-fighting helicopter and three to four fire trucks.



The announcement was made by Pres. Rody Duterte during a gathering in Jolo wherein he was quoted as saying "Ito ipangako ko sa inyo sa loob lang ng one month siguro. Kulang ang truck. Magpadala ako dito ng mga tatlo o apat na truck ngayon buwan na ‘to," Duterte said.

"So dito kasi malayo kayo. Malayo kayo sa gobyerno talaga, totoo lang. So magbili ako ng isang helicopter na magbuhos ng tubig ‘yung parang fire truck," he added.

Based upon the initial investigations of the fire victims, eight people were injured and 2,600 houses were razed in a fire victimizing in a fire that razed two barangays in Jolo, Sulu on Tuesday.
