Pres. Duterte Believes Nicanor Faeldon is Not Corrupt, Credits Him for the P40-Billion Paid by Mighty (Video)

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the country's most popular President of our generation, believes in the sincerity of former Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon as he noted during his speech in Davao City that Nicanor Faeldon is not corrupt.

According to Pres. Rody Duterte, Captain Nicanor Faeldon who now served at the Office of the Civil Defense is not a corrupt official because he was responsible for the billion-peso payment of Mighty Corporation to the Philippine Government.

The President was quoted as saying "You know this Faeldon, I do not think that he is really corrupt. You know why? He was responsible for the government earning P40 billion in one sweep" the former Mayor of Davao City stated.

Pres. Duterte added further that"the owner of Mighty King was really falsifying fake cigarette stamps. And this has been going on for since time immemorial. Untouchable itong si Mighty King noon." Pres. Duterte added during a speech in SMX Lanang, Davao City last June 22.

Deputy Administrator Faeldon was even allegedly offered at least P3-billion in cold cash to settle the case apprehended by Faeldon and just to let the syndicate of Mighty Corporation continue during the term of Pres. Duterte but the Captain did his job and filed cases against the cigarette giant.

Captain Nicanor Faeldon, one of the leaders of the Oakwood Mutiny with Sen. Antonio Trillanes was first appointed by Pres. Rody Duterte as Commissioner of the Bureau of Customs (BOC).

Last January 2018, Captain Nicanor Faeldon took his oath as Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) Deputy Administrator. Faeldon is one of the few military men who convinced Pres. Duterte to run for President during the time when he was still undecided to run for the highest office in the Philippines.
