CBCP The Biggest Stockholders of Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) with P30-Billion Investments (Video)

The Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) is considered as one of the biggest stockholder in one of the country's largest banking conglomerate, the Bank of the Philippine Islands with an estimated worth of stocks at least P30-Billion.


According to the information gathered by some concerned netizens as of April 12, 2016, the CBCP or the Catholic archbishops were listed at the #5, #38 and #78 of BPI's biggest stockholders with P30.266 Billion in the Bank of the Philippine Islands, one of the oldest banking institutions in the Philippines.

Based upon the records of BPI from the Philippine Stock Exchange, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Manila tops the list of BPI stock investors with a total of P12.724 Billion Investment Value.



Aside from the various departments of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Manila which tops of the list of having the most investments with BPI, other diocese were also identified such as the Carmel fo the Divine Infant Jesus of Prague, Inc.; El Superior De La Corporacion Filipina de Padres Agustinos Recoletos; and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Jaro were listed as part of BPI's list of investors.

In a separate news report posted by GMA News, the Archbisphop of Manila was also listed as one of the top investors with an estimated investments of P175 million. Aside from the Archbishop of Manila, the Archbishop of Zamboanga and other diocese were also having some investments with Philex Mining Corporation.
