Rappler CEO and controversial social media personality, Maria Ressa got a dose of her own medicine after she was burned down by MJ Reyes after posting a cryptic message about defending the freedom of the press and Philippine democracy.
Maria Ressa tweeted "Good morning from Manila! "Where you see wrong or inequality or injustice, speak out, because this is your country. This is your democracy. Make it. Protect it. Pass it on," Thurgood Marshall.
The statement of Maria Ressa on Twitter caught the attention of Pro-Duterte blogger, MJ Quiambao Reyes who responded and burned down Maria Ressa by saying "Exactly! We've seen gross inequality, injustice, incompetence, hypocrisy, corruption for years. Ergo, we spoke out, ended yellow admin & elected PRD in May 2016--because this is our country & our democracy. We'll protect it from the greedy & power-grabbers.
MJ Reyes also noted that in fairness to Maria Ressa, she never blocked her on Twitter unlike the other Pro-Yellow lawmakers and their supporters namely Hilbay and Paredes and many other Pro-Yellow personalities.
Netizens reacted on how MJ Reyes burned down Maria Ressa on social media as they noted that for the past few months, Maria Ressa was burned down by MJ Reyes but she still insisted on showcasing her talents and skills on social media.
