SWS Survey Results: Pres. Duterte's Net Satisfaction Ratings Rose 10 Points (Very Good) in 4th Quarter of 2017

he tough-talking President of the Republic of the Philippines improved it's net satisfaction ratings with an increase of 10 points during the fourth quarter of 2017 according to the latest survey results released by the Social Weather Stations.


Base upon the poll's results, Pres. Duterte got 71 percent satisfied with his performance, 15 percent undecided, and 13 percent dissatisfied.

The SWS results gave the President a net satisfaction rating (percent satisfied minus percent dissatisfied) of +58 or a "very good" rating.



The veteran poll body in the Philippines, SWS rates a +70 net satisfaction rating as "excellent"; +50 to +69 as "very good"; +30 to +49 as "good"; +10 to +29 rates as "moderate"; +9 to -9 as "neutral"; -10 to -29 as "poor"; and -70 and below as "execrable."

Pres. Duterte's satisfaction rating saw gains across the country, it gained 14 points in Balance Luzon, 11 points in Metro Manila, 10 points in the Visayas, and 3 points in Mindanao.

Duterte's net satisfaction rating remained an "excellent" +80 (84 percent satisfied, 5 percent dissatisfied) in Mindanao in the fourth quarter, up 4 points from +76 (82 percent satisfied, 6 percent dissatisfied) from the third quarter.


The president's satisfaction numbers improved from good to very good in Metro Manila: +55 (73 percent satisfied, 18 percent dissatisfied) in December, up by 11 points from +44 (68 percent satisfied, 24 percent dissatisfied) in the third quarter.

In the Visayas, it improved to a "very good" +53 (72 percent satisfied, 18 percent dissatisfied) in the fourth quarter, from the third quarter's "good" +43 (64 percent satisfied, 21 percent dissatisfied).

In  Balance Luzon, it improved to a "very good" +50 (64 percent satisfied, 14 percent dissatisfied) from the third quarter's "good" +36 (59 percent satisfied, 23 percent dissatisfied).

Pres. Duterte's approval rating also saw improvements in both Urban and Rural ares in the Philippines. The President scored a "very good" +63 net satisfaction ratings in Urban areas while in the Rural areas, Pres. Duterte's net satisfaction rating improved to a "very good" or +54.
