Chinese Engineers Explores Coastal Sites of the 20km. Manila Bay Bridge Linking Bataan-Corregidor-Cavite

Veteran Chinese engineers and members of the technical team has started exploring the coastal site of the proposed 20 kilometers Manila Bay Bridge an ambitious project under the Duterte administration that aims to link the province of Bataan the island of Corregidor and the province of Cavite.

Not the Real Bridge for Presentation Purposes Only

According to some engineering experts once completed the Manila Bay Bridge will be the longest coastal bridge in the Philippines.

According to Bataan Vice Governor Cris Garcia who accompanied the Chinese technical team in conducting onsite inspection along the coastal areas of his town, they inspected the coastal barangays of Sisiman, Alas asin all the way to Camaya beach resort in Biaan.

Meanwhile, the Bataan provincial officials led by Governor Abe S. Garcia expressed optimism that the Chinese group is capable of constructing the coastal bridge after checking the background of the CSCEC straight construction and development corp. that had already a track record in various parts of the Globe.

Before the inspection of the coastal areas in Bataan, a team of Bataan officials recently went to China to see for themselves the facilities, equipment and office of the CSCEC. "We were impressed by their state-of-the-art technology and capability in building bridges," pointed out the lady vice governor.

Although the Chinese firms have a proven track record with more than 300 ongoing and pending works and the longest of it is a coastal bridge in Brunei which is 16 kilometers long, the Bataan officials expressed caution in constructing the bridge which will link Mariveles-Corregidor-Naic in Cavite saying the coastal bridge will traverse along Manila Bay which is the route of large ships and barges coming and going out from Manila piers.

The Vice Governor of Bataan also pointed out that the Manila Bay Coastal Bridge will be high enough since the are is the route of large ships, maybe around 40 meters high above the sea level.
