The Vice President of the Philippines, Vice President Leni Robredo, one of the top officials of the Liberal Party drew flak on social media after her controversial statement against one of the resource person in the Senate Hearing on Fake News.
According to VP Leni there's somebody in the Senate who were alleged sources of fake news against her wherein she said "May mga nandoon sa Senado na pinagmulan ng fake news tungkol sa akin. Walang bahid ng pagsisihi. Walang bahid ng kahihiyan. Mayabang." she tweeted.
VP Leni also added that "Para sabihin mong hindi mo kailangan ang pamahalaan, ito ang ang nangangailangan sa iyo, insulto ito sa mga kawani na naninilbihan sa taumbayan," she said.
Although the Vice President did not mentioned the name of Thinking Pinoy or RJ Nieto, netizens were quick to conclude that she was referring to the sensational blogger who said the statement that he don't need the the job as consultant of the DFA but the DFA needs him more.
The statement of VP Leni through her official social media account received mostly negative reactions from netizens, popular social media personality Krizette Laureta Chu, accused VP Leni of allegedly using the issue as a diversionary tactics by the Liberal Party.
