Boy Mejorada's Expose on the Reasons Why Drug Lords Enjoys Protection During Aquino's Term

Former Iloilo Provincial Administrator Manuel "Boy" Mejorada, the same person who first exposed the alleged "White House Mansion" of Mayor Jed Mabilog released another controversial expose about the alleged reasons why drug lords enjoyed protection during the administration of Pres. Aquino.

The Facebook post of Manuel "Boy" Mejarada made headlines a few months ago but it resurfaced anew in the last few days after reports of Pres. Duterte's campaign against illegal drugs in Iloilo City.

Pres. Duterte once again named Iloilo City Mayor Jed Mabilog as an alleged narco-politican and drug lord protector in the city once dubbed by the President as the "most shabulized" city in the Philippines.

The statement of Pres. Duterte coincides with the revelations made by Boy Mejorado who stated that during the Aquino administration, the national government slashed the budget of PDEA in conducting surveillance activities to fight the drug war.

With the slashing of PDEA's budget drug lords in Iloilo City and nearby towns and provinces in Region 5 "enjoyed the protection from powerful politicians," that were already named by Pres. Duterte.

Here's the Complete Expose of Manuel "Boy" Mejorada:

Not too many people know this, but three or four years ago, the Aquino administration started to decapitate the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) by slashing its operating budget.

In other words, the PDEA fought with one hand tied behind its back, not even having enough fuel budget to conduct surveillance activities and raids. Its intelligence budget was so miniscule that it couldn't even offer cigarettes to informants.

This was the reason the PDEA wasn't able to fight the drug war on superior terms. It was literally hogtied by the very government that was supposed to direct the war against drugs.

To make matters worse, drug lords enjoyed protection from powerful politicians, many of whom have already been named by President Duterte.

The late Melvin "Dragon" Odicta of Iloilo City enjoyed unhampered operations because no less than the Big Man tacitly tolerated his business.

It was narco-politics at its worst. The drug groups were protected by the politicians. The politicians, in turn, enjoyed the armed muscle of the drug lords to silence their critics.

I am praying this Big Man will soon be exposed by President Duterte. Jed Patrick Mabilog was just a small player in the scheme of things.
