Netizens took to social media and reacted on the statement of Sen. Risa Hontiveros for defending her side on the decision of the senator to take custody of the witnesses in the controversial case of the late Kian Delos Santos.

During the Senate Hearing, PAO Chief Atty. Persida Acosta revealed that the family of the victim have already decided to seek the assistance of PAO thereby giving them the authority to get the affidavits of the witnesses who are now under custody of Sen. Hontiveros.
Although Atty. Acosta commended the gesture of Sen. Hontiveros in taking care of the witnesses but the custody of the witnesses should not be at the hands of Hontiveros.
The senator also insisted that she has all right to take custody of the witnesses, because in the first place it's the witnesses the seeks help.
In the later part of the Senate Hearing, Sen. Hontiveros agreed with the decision of the Philippine Senate to take care of the witnesses and it should be turned over by HOntiveros camps.
