BIR Exceeds Collection Goal for July 2017 by P3.66 Billion

The Bureau of Internal Revenue, one of the most government agency for the past few years made some significant achievements as they exceeds collection goal for July 2017 by P3.66 Billion.




BIR had collected P134.72 Billion in tax revenues for the month of July 2017, or 2.72% more than the collection goal of P134.38 Billion.

Compared to the July 2016 collection of P117.61 Billion, the BIR posted a growth rate of 17.66% or an increase of P20.77 Billion.

According to BIR collections from BIR operations amounted to PhP134.23 Billion, PhP3.61 Billion or 2.76% more than collection goal of PhP130.61 Billion. Collections from non-BIR operations amounted to PhP4.16 Billion, PhP48.96 Million or 1.19% more than the collection target of PhP4.11 Billion. 

BIR added further that collections by the Regional Offices amounted to PhP49.19 Billion, or PhP1.17 Billion or 2.33% less than the collection goal of PhP50.37 Billion. While collections by the Large Taxpayers Service amounted to PhP85.03 Billion, or PhP4.78 Billion or 5.96% more than the collection goal of PhP80.25 Billion.

A collection surplus of around PhP0.26 Billion was posted by the BIR for the month of July 2017, notwithstanding the initial PhP3.4 Billion collection from Mighty Corporation.

For the first seven months of the year, the BIR collected PhP991.995 Billion, Php88.415 Billion or 9.78% more than the collections made for the same period in 2016 of PhP903.581 Billion. Compared to the collection goal for the same period, the BIR posted a 95.44% collection performance.
