Loida Nicolas-Lewis, the billionaire philanthropist and funder of losing presidential candidate Mar Roxas released her official statement with the controversial LeniLeaks documents that went viral on social media.
Based on the statement released by Loida Nicolas-Lewis she did not deny the LeniLeaks documents but instead she justified her actions with her groups. In a separate report from GMA News she denied that there's a conspiracy to oust Pres. Duterte.
Here's the Statement of Loida Nicolas-Lewis:
According to Loida Nicolas Lewis she was just using her right to be
involved or speak out on developments in the Philippines because as
Overseas Filipinos, she is one of the reasons why the Philippine economy
got a major boost.
She also noted that as a dual citizen she retain the full rights as Filipinos, it is therefore wrong to disparage or demean comments from overseas Filipinos. Lewis noted the she had a right, even a duty, to be involved in our homeland and participate as much as we can it its policies.
The billionaire philanthropist also bragged about her charitable initiatives in the Philippines particularly from her home province or in the Bicol Region.
According to Antonio Contreras, Loida Nicolas-Lewis "is not denying the existence of #LeniLeaks. She is justifying it."
