The tough-talking President of the Republic of the Philippines Pres. Rody Duterte released his first-ever Christmas message as Chief Executive. The chief executive wished for peace, order and progress for the Philippines.
Pres. Duterte was quoted as saying "My beloved countrymen, as we remember the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ, let us celebrate it with genuine compassion and desire to foster hopes in our hearts. This Yuletide season, I wish for peace, order, progress for our country," Duterte said.
The 71-year-old Pres. Duterte added further that "Greeting you all a merry, merry Christmas, my family, my fellow workers in government, and let us all look forward for the coming of a new year with great happiness," the President added.
The first-ever President from Mindanao will be coming to his hometown in Davao City to spend Christmas in his beloved birthplace.
