Thousands of Filipinos in Singapore gathered together in what is now considered as the largest gathering ever by the Filipino communities in the island state, just to personally see and hear their beloved President Rody Duterte.
According to Philippine Ambassador to Singapore, Antonio Morales, Pres. Duterte's visit on December 16, 2016 in Singapore is now the most memorable Filipino event and the best Christmas gift given to Filipinos in one of the world's richest country.
Filipino crowds started gathering as early as 8:00 AM although the event started in the evening, the organizers prepared around 6,000 tickets but due to the huge turn out of Filipinos going to the event they increase it to accommodate more people.

Pres. Rody Duterte's meeting with the Filipino communities in Singapore showcase how the Filipinos loved President Duterte after they voted overwhelmingly and sent him to Malacanang with a huge 80% out of more than 100,000 Filipino residents in the island state.
During Pres. Duterte's speech he reported to the Filipinos in Singapore the real situations in the Philippines and how safe it is now compared to the previous administration with more than 700,000 drug offenders surrendered to the authorities.
He also denied the allegations thrown at him by his critics in the government about his alleged involvement in extra-judicial killings that dominated the headlines of major news outlet in the country. Pres. Duterte also lashed at the yellows, or the Liberal Party of Mar Roxas who could not accept their defeat during elections.
Pres. Duterte also explain that the main reasons why he allowed the Marcos burial because it is provided by law and the previous two Aquino admins failed to passed law that will prohibit the burial of Pres. Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
