Former mutineer and controversial senator of the Philippine Republic, Sen. Antonio Trillanes predicts through his official social media account that the Supreme Court will make former Sen. Bongbong Marcos as Vice President soon.
The statement of Sen. Trillanes came after the Supreme Court decided to allow the burial of Pres. Ferdinand Marcos who was denied a decent burial at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani for the past decades.
The senator who sought the Vice Presidential post during the 2016 national elections noted that the Supreme Court effectively rewrote history.
The highest court of the land, the Supreme Court decided to allow the burial of President Marcos by voting 9-5 in favor for the Marcos family and their supporters who were also known as Marcos loyalists.
Due to the decision made by the Supreme Court, a number of lawmakers such as Sen. Bam Aquino, Sen. Leila de Lima, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and Sen. Trillanes despise the decision of the Supreme Court.
On Twitter, Sen. Trillanes posted the following statement:
The Supreme Court effectively rewrote history. In their purely legalistic eyes, the EDSA People Power which was emulated globally and which we celebrate yearly, never happened. We should now expect Bongbong Marcos to be the Vice President of the country soon.
