Erik Spoelstra: Pinoy Pride & Miami Heat's Coach (Video)

Filipino-American Erik Spoelstra more popularly known as Coach Spo became popular worldwide since the first day he was chosen as the successor of Hall-of-Famer Coach, Pat Riley of the Miami Heat.

During the year 2005 when he succeeded Pat Riley as the head coach of Miami, he made an NBA record as the first Asian American who coached an NBA Team aside from being the youngest coach in the NBA record.

Coach Erik became more popular to the Filipino fans worldwide when he led the Heat to a back-to-back NBA title after they defeated the San Antonio Spurs in Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals.

The 42-year-old Erik Spoelstra have been visiting the Philippines since his early childhood days and last 2011 he visited his relatives in Laguna aside from his visit as an NBA representative and even made a courtesy call to the Philippine President.

With his current achievements in the NBA he is now regarded as one of the possible NBA coach who will be inducted to the Hall of Fame.
