The Philippines Poll Body, the Commission on Elections have already decided to scrapped its earlier plan to automate the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.
The COMELEC have planned earlier that in some parts of the country the automated will be held but due to lack of preparations, the Barangay and SK Elections will back to its previous manual state.
According to COMELEC Commissioner Lucenito Tagle, the elections will be back to manual and the COMELEC have already made their calendar of activities.
The COMELEC also stated that the registration of voters resumes on July 1. The continuing registration shall revert to its schedule before the midterm election, Monday to Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
During the registration the COMELEC will use biometrics registration as required by law to purge the list of voters.
