VP Leni Robredo's Trust Rating Drops 15 Points in the Latest SWS Survey Results

Vice President Leni Robredo did her best for the Filipino people to appreciate her job as the second highest official of the land but the trust rating of the Vice President plunged by 15 points based upon the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey results.

SWS released the First Quarter of 2017 survey done from March 25 to 28, 2017 which showed that 55 percent of adult Filipinos had much trust in the Vice President while 25 percent trusted her little, for a net trust rating of 30 percent.

Based upon the results released by SWS this quarter's trust rating of VP Leni Robredo is 15 percent lower than the 45 percent net trust rating she received in December 2016.

According to SWS the trust rating refers to the public trust in a personality as a whole and is different from satisfaction rating which pertains to an individual's performance related to his duty or position.

The 15-point drop in VP Leni's trust rating was due to significant declines in the number of people who had trust in the Vice President across the Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

VP Leni's trust rating declines was seen in Mindanao, where her trust rating fell by 32 points from 52 percent in December to 20 percent. This was a downgrade of two levels, from very good to moderate.

The Vice President's trust rating also saw 10-percent declines in Visayas and Mindanao. The drops in trust rating of VP Leni Robredo was contrary to the prediction made by Sen. Trillanes during his controversial BBC interview that Pres. Duterte's Trust Rating will go down but instead of the President, it's the Vice President ratings that went down significantly.
