Pro-Duterte Bloggers Asks Sec. Mark Villar to Investigate the P10.9 Million Overpass in Bacolod City


European-based political analyst and regular columnist of The Manila Times, Sass Rogando Sasot asked Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar to investigate the controversial P10.9 Million Overpass Project in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.


According to Sass Rogando Sasot people and residents from Bacolod City are asking her to help them discuss whether it is lawful to build a P10.9 million worth of overpass as they cited a photo which was first published by Aksyon Radyo Bacolod.

According to the information given by Aksyon Radyo, the controversial overpass was inaugurated on Thursday, June 29 and it is specifically located in front of Antonio Jayme Elementary School in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.


The post of Aksyon Radyo also stated that he controversial structure costs around P10.9 million which caught the attentions not only the netizens from Bacolod but also from other parts of the Philippines.

As a response from Sass Sasot, he urged concerned citizens from Bacolod City to file an FOI request and asked for the itemized expenses of the controversial P10.9 million overpass.

The international political analyst also called on the attentions of Secretary Mark Villar of the DPWH to investigate the project and how come it costs P10.9 million which is contrary to the finished output.
