DPWH Sec. Mark Villar Reports Updates of the Hanging Bridge in Brgy. Lapinao


The head of the Department of Public Works and Highways, Sec. Mark Villar reported on his official Facebook account the updates of the viral improvised bridge in Brgy. Lapinao, Iligan. Sec. Villar who personally saw the video promised to immediately build a hanging bridge which is almost complete right now.


Facebook user Yasmin Mangorsi posted a video of a young boy and his sister struggling to cross a river using a tight rope bridge in Barangay Lapinao, Iligan.

The viral video came to the attention of the DPWH secretary when popular social media personality Thinking Pinoy was contacted by some staff of Sec. Villar and coordinate with them to identify the place.

DPWH then worked closely and immediately with the LGU and sent staff from DPWH to conduct a study and immediately build a hanging bridge for the residents of Brgy. Lapina, Iligan.

In the latest post of DPWH Secretary Mark Villar on his Facebook Page he revealed that the hanging bridge in Barangay Lapinao, Iligan is almost complete.

Last December, we watched a video posted on Facebook by Yasmin Mangorsi which shows a young boy and his sister struggling to cross a river using a tight rope bridge in Barangay Lanipao, Iligan. Happy to report that the bridge is almost complete.
