Viral Video: Sen. Leila De Lima Allegedly Received P8 Million from Mayor Espinosa's Son


Albuera Police Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido accused former Justice Secretary and newly-elected Senator Leila De Lima of receiving P8 million from one of Mayor Espinosa's son, Kerwin Espinosa.


According to the Chief Inspector Espenido they filed a case against Sen. De Lima because several other witnesses could corroborate the claim of Mayor Espinosa that the senator received money from Kerwin.

During the Senate Hearing on Thursday, Chief Inspector Espenido narrated the story on how he was able to learn the incident and even noted that one of his evidence is a picture showing Sen. De Lima and the alleged drug lord Kerwin Espinosa.

The Albuera, Leyte Chief stated further that aside from the affidavit signed and filed by the late Mayor Espinosa implicating Sen. De Lima, one of the mayor's son, Kevin Espinosa also testified that the senator received the P8 million during the first time when they met.

According to Espenido, the alleged P8 million was given at Dampa Restaurant located at SM Mall of Asia. This was based upon the signed affidavit of Kevin Espinosa as clarified by Albuera Police Chief Jovie Espenido.
