According to the latest survey results of Pulse Asia and ABS-CBN, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte ranked as the No.1 choice to be the next president with a total of 26% voting preference among the presidential candidates.
Pulse Asia revealed that the latest presidential survey was taken from March 21-25, 2016 a few days after the Supreme Court released its decision to allow Sen. Grace Poe to run for President. The survey was also conducted after the second presidential debate in Cebu.
Former survey leader, Sen. Grace Poe ranks second to Mayor Duterte with 24% ratings as the survey was taken right after the presidential survey where the senator was caught off guard by Mayor Duterte when she was asked about what she would do if China attacks the Philippines.
The Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas made some improvements on his survey numbers as he was able to surpassed the former survey leader VP Binay by getting 21% votes which is slightly higher compared to VP Binay's 19%.
According to Pompee La Viña, the social media manager of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, the consolidation of Mindanao and Cebu/Visayas forces behind Mayor Duterte has not yet been factored yet so the Duterte camps expect the lead to widen even more in the next survey for president of the Republic of the Philippines.
The Duterte camps also expected that Mar Roxas will overtake Mar Roxas and he suceeded in the latest surveys of Pulse Asia. The Liberal Party standard-bearer, Mar Roxas now ranks at the No. 3 spot just behind Mayor Duterte and Sen. Grace Poe. They also expect that in the end and the results of the suceeding surveys will be between Mayor Duterte and Mar Roxas as the leading presidential candidates.
