The highly anticipated guesting of social media's newest sensation, Carrotman or Jeyrick Sigmaton on Wowowin boosted the TV show's ratings on March 3, 2016. The visit of Jeyrick Sigmaton in one of GMA's shows was one of the reason why it climbs in national TV ratings against it's rival shows.
For the very first time, "Wowowin" beats its closest rival "We Will Survive" of ABS-CBN featuring Melai Cantiveros and Pokwang
Based upon the results of Kantar Media, Wowowin received an audience share of 17.6 percent while it's rival show "We Will Survive" only got 16.1 percent.
Aside from the boosts in national TV ratings of Wowowin, the episode when Jeyrick Sigmaton was featured conquered the Twitter trending topics in the Philippines.
