Netizen Lectures Dilawan the Real Essence on "How to Defend Our Democracy"

Popular social media personality and a known defender and supporter of Pres. Rody Duterte on social media, Mark Lopez lectured the Dilawans or the supporters of the Liberal Party the real essence on "How to Defend Our Democracy."

The statement of Mark Lopez on social media came out as a response to the Dilawan's latest gathering the Defend Democracy Summit or DDS for short held at the University of the Philippines in Quezon City on June 12, 2017.

According to Lopez, the DDS gathering was a solemn affair, made more stately by the glittering jewelry, designer wear, hi tech gadgets of both guests and participants but after their vigorous calls to arms, catered food awaits, cocktails served and went straight to the upscale UP Town Mall to dine in riding with their luxurious SUVs.

In contrast with the DDS gathering initiated by the Dilawan, somewhere in Marawi, thousands of lives were severely disrupted as common folks of Muslim and Christian denomination have been uprooted from their simple homes but despite the presence of Martial Law, the people remain calm and sober and so cooperative with the fearsome government that feels like a shield of protection than an agent of suppression.

Here's the Complete Statement of Mark Lopez:

DEFEND OUR DEMOCRACY

In celebration of Independence day, the dilawans, led by Vice President Leni Robredo, snuggled inside an air conditioned enclave in UP, to discuss amongst themselves how democratic institutions are slowly eroding as they make a stand in the gathering called "Defend Democracy Summit."

It was a solemn affair, made more stately by the glittering jewelry, designer wear, hi tech gadgets of both guests and participants. We can tell with all the selfies, snap chats and instagram posts that are all over the internet.

After their vigorous call to arms, catered food awaits, cocktails served, after which almost all the attendees hied off in their luxurious Ford Expeditions or latest Fortuner SUVs to the upscale UP Town Mall to dine in, chill and see "Wonder Woman."

This is so reassuring to us ordinary folks that there are these decent and goregous people who tirelessly promote and protect Democracy.

Meanwhile in far off Marawi, thousands of lives were severely disrupted as common folks of muslim and christian denomination have been uprooted from their simple homes, with some of them killed, maimed and injured.

Martial Law hovers over Mindanao, yet the populace remain calm and sober and so cooperative of this fearsome government arsenal that it feels like a shield of protection than an agent of suppression.

And in the most poignant irony of them all, while the dilawans denounce and decry the assumed assault on democracy, 58 of our brave and gallant soldiers are dead defending the very same democracy that dilawans conveniently claim as their catchphrase.

Our fallen heroes are young enough not to comprehend the why of this war yet bold, daring and audacious enough to fight and sacrifice their own lives, despite the limitation of their capabilities and resources because the funds were channeled instead to buying the very same SUVs of the above earlier mentioned yellow cabal.

And this is the paradox of our independence day.

For the privileged dilawans, Democracy is the ideal that they cannot live without.

For the rest of us, and most especially for our warriors In uniform, Democracy is our inherent right that is worth dying for.
