La Salle Professor Slams Sen. Hontiveros for Her "Unli-Martial Law" Statement

Veteran La Salle educator and a known Duterte supporter on social media, Professor Antonio Contreras slams Sen. Risa Hontiveros anew for her ''Unli-Martial Law" statement during an interview with the media. Prof. Contreras gave an unsolicited advice to Sen. Hontiveros who was also criticized earlier on her definition of rebellion and invasion.

During an interview with the media, Sen. Risa Hontiveros chided Pres. Rody Duterte over his recent remark that the next time he declares Martial Law, it would be "indefinite" and a Marcos "copycat."

Sen. Hontiveros responded through a text message to GMA news that "There is no such thing as an indefinite Martial Law in our Constitution and Laws. Walang unli-martial law," Hontiveros stated.

The senator added further that "And even if President Duterte manages to implement this type of martial law, I am confident that the people will oppose and defeat it. Kung yung original martial law nga ni Ferdinand Marcos ay tinalo ng mamamayan, ang isang 'Marcos copycat' pa kaya," she said.

Due to the statement released by Sen. Hontiveros on social media, columnist and La Salle Professor Antonio Contreras responded with a brilliant message to the senator.

According to Prof. Contreras, he will give an advise to the senator to please study first and read, before she say anything.

Here's the Complete Statement of Prof. Antonio Contreras:

Risa, Risa, Risa.

May I advise you to please study first and read, before you say anything.

Unli. As in unli-rice. You order 1 cup. You consume it. You order another one. Then another one.

Martial Law can be proclaimed initially for 60 days. After that, the President can proclaim another one. And another one after that. And the Constitution has not set a limit on the number of times he can do so.

That is unli.

Gets mo?
